Received call from these same ol same ol jerks... Using yet another number...
Next call from this no. and it'll get the ol Selective Forwarding List treatment, a feature provided by our carrier [ also referred to as Exclusive Forwarding by some carriers ] which sends any future calls from listed numbers to my present 'favorite crap call recipient' [ see below ]...
FWIW, any of Y'all what got Selective or Exclusive Fwd'n capabilities with your carrier it's a really great way to divert unwanted calls and 'give back' to one of them AHs who's been particularly annoying to ya... or to say your State's AG's Consumer Affairs Office, or yer congresscritter, or... you get the idea... ';)
To be really effective you need to choose a 'recipient' for the Fwd'd calls that is at a real number, answered by a real person or answering machine / voice mail.
Other tactic I like during off hours when their vm takes msgs to lv your number to be placed on THEIR DNCL I lay the phone down set on 'speaker ph.' next to the TV speaker and fill up 8-10 mins. worth of their vm capacity, occasionally several times over an hour or so when got nothing better to do... ';)
A return call to this number [ from a CID / CNAM Blocked phone ] I get a familiar human voice w/ jes 'Hello', and after my not answering he goes into his 'Trooper' spiel, which I've found to be typical of the numerous numbers from which their solicitations for the 'Troopers' are made, by real people, not robos, but who never lv vm. I consider these jerks as scammers since the non-profit they purport to rep receives very little of the actual proceeds [ ~11% ]. In this case after he was finishing up his plea for help for all the poor Troopers asking if I'd like to make a donation, instead of just letting him twist in the wind and say nothing I spoke up and told him 'When you decide to speak to my vm and ID yourself MAYBE; but as long as you just hang up without saying anything, NO WAY!... CLICK!
If these jerks would call a given number just ONCE and lv vm with their requests and let that be the end of it I *MIGHT* have a smidgen of mercy fer um... but since they can't seem to figure out harassing Folks isn't good for their image, or their cause...
