This number started calling me at 10:37am. I received a total of 7 calls in a 6 hour span. I picked up the last two times. The first time I asked politely for them to to stop calling because the US government does not contact us directly. An hour later, they call me AGAIN. This is one of those calls where they say you're receiving a call from the US government offering you free money. When you tell them you know it's not true, they then try to tell you that they don't need personal bank information. I told the rep to feel free to wire the money directly to my bank account since he's from the US govt and should have access to my information. Then he tried to confirm my first and last name, and proceeds to spell it incorrectly. Once I said "If you're from the US government, you wouldn't have spelled my name incorrectly," he hung up.
Go figure!
This guys are such a joke! Called me twice, once he said he name was David Johnson, but he had a thick accent! He said he was calling from the United States Govt Dept! I said, your name isn't David Johnson and there is no such things as a US Govt Dept! Of course, he hung up but called two hours later and tried te same spill! I'm going to start messing with them the next time they call! You all most have to laugh at how ridiculous these people are!
This guy with an indian accent has called me several times a day for weeks. Talks about federal grants. When I call him out on it being a scam, he hangs up. Don't give this goon any personal info. I blocked the number. I hope that works.
