These people keep calling me as well... Threatening that I am being sued, and I have committed fraud. Funny, because if this was really true then wouldn't you get something official in the mail??? This is the 3rd person from this company to call me... All. with thick Indian accents but with really American Names.... Don't believe a word they say!! Just wish I knew how to make them stop calling!
I just got my first call from the 919 number. I have not called them back. They left a threatening message on my phone. It said I was under investigation for fraud and to call the department of legal fraud. by the end of the day. If this is a payday scam. I don't owe any money to any payday places. I have been unemployed for several months, and last year when I did work, I only made 4000. Theres no way I could even get a loan if I wanted one. And that has been for several years. I pay only cash. I live with relatives. etc. So my gut feeling is, this is definately a scam. WHere did they get my number from?
I am trying to work and rebuild credit no get some as******* to destroy mine. I would love to know who these jerks are? How did they get my number? DId they hack my computer? I already have myself on the do no call list for cell phones? What do I do to get them off my back? It is because of people like this that I refuse to have a checking account or deal with banks. I have been scammed before. What do I need to do to prevent them from calling again. ?? You are right, my guess is India or Pakistan The funny thing is, if you listen in the background, it is not a friendly call center. Everyone is yelling and screaming. Ive never talked to a customer service department like that before in my life. Thank you for the previous warnings not to call and not to send money. I'm glad I found these warning before I was harrassed any more! Keep up the good work. Debt collector for what? As far as I know, I shouldn't have any old bills that I have not dealt with. My ex husband of 2 years filed for bankruptcy, so maybe they are trying to collect on his. Thats ok, I can file too if I have to, once I find out who these jerks are, I will just give them my attorneys number. WHat a waste of human breathe.
@ Shonda. My ex told me that if they threaten to take you to court they usually won't even if they have a good reason. It costs more to go to court than it does for the amount that you owe. He told me about a similar call, and he used to harrass them back. Just like some of the above people do. He would call them many times a day. Threatening to sue them if they called him.
On a funny side, if you have never heard the cd..Revenge of the telemarketers: get it and listen to it. It will make your sides hurt you will laugh so hard. Excellend piece of work and ideas on what to say to jerks like these.
