Just got a call from 919-608-9696, told me that they have been receiving multiple error codes from my PC. Really??? My computer hasnt worked for 3 months and with the battery removed. He hung up after that.
I answered the second time they called. After a pause someone with a foreign accent said something about getting reports about messages coming from my computer. I told them they were lying and not to try to scam me again and then hung up.
i recieved a phone call a few minutes ago. I did check them out, and yes they are trying sell you something, but the company is called 247Techies.com, the call came from Morrisville, NC and they say they are a support group for Windows Products. They have a website with comments. The Tech did get upset with me when I wanted to check with my husband before I purchased anything, and told me not to be rude upon which I became rude when he would not give me his phone number (even though my phone already had it). Also, you need to add some new classifications of call types, as this type of call is really not addressed in the list below.
SCAM - answer the call so you can tell them to stop calling. Otherwise they keep trying. They called me 5 times before I finally picked it up and told me he had something to do with Windows repair?? And once I told him it sounded like a scam and to take me off their call list he proceeded to tell me to cuss me out. Nice....
