This is one of those scam calls from India. The caller says that they are Officer So and So from some fake bureau and that you have to call them back and make payment arrangements or they will have you arrested. Invariably the caller leaves a generic Anglo sounding name even though they have a heavy India accent. I have received several of these calls from this an other numbers. Don't fall for it. It is a big scam. If you challenge them and ask for specifics, they are not able to give them to you. Again, this is a big scam.

i recived a cll today from that number 919-665-2332 and at first they said that i would have to pay 450.32 by the end of the day and i asked them well today is a federal holiday and all court houses are closed today and the they told me that if i did not agree to pay them the were going to have me aressted so i said well call the police then and they then asked me could i get the money from my boss because i was at work i then told the ill have my lawyer give them a call and now they wont anwser the phone.. SO THIS IS A BIG SCAM!!!!
I received a call from this phone number threatening me with a lawsuit. I see this is a common scam. I would like to know how to prevent this kind of thing or who to report this to...Please post any information if available.
I received a call today, stating the same thing. Gave the last 4 of my social, even knew name of bank I deal with. Told me I had to come up with over $9000. Accused me of internet fraud among other things. When I asked for an address he stated there was no address, they would debit it out of my bank account. I told them it was a scam, to stop calling me or I would report them to the FTC
Calls from this number are harrassing me at work and on my cell number. They claim I owe them money which I know I do not. I did speak to them, I did give them my information but never went forward as it sound very unsavory. I would like to complain to someone (FTC) can you assist with whom I should go to. Unfortunately for me in a moment of pressure I made a big mistake and have closed all my accounts, etc. in order to avoid any access from them. They also said they were from the Law office of Ronald Roth who I googled and see he is in fact a Manhatten attorney specializing in medical mal practice.
