Just got a call from this number. Left a message identifying himself as Wayne Gheen and vilifying our congressman from Wisconsin. Why is someone from 919 area code so vested in who Wisconsin elects! No point mentioning that I have been on DNC list from the very beginning. Instead of reducing nuisance calls, it seems to have provided ready access to all the telemarketers!
If you take the time to read up on how the DNC really works, you'll learn that it can't stop illegal callers, especially those from overseas call centers who frequently spoof their caller ID and phone number. It is not easy to get a copy of the DNC list: try. Go ahead, see what's involved.
You might also realize that, since you're registered on the DNC list, the ONLY unsolicited calls you get are from scammers, not legitimate telemarketers, who will not risk the hefty fines for violating the DNC.
