Yes - real phone numbers can't have a "1" at the beginning of the exchange - so this is fake.
However, I answered to see what the pitch was.
Nice lady said she was representing over 19 local building/home improvement contractors.
When I asked what company she was calling from, she said she was from 'Builders Remodeling Center'.
So I asked where they are located, and she said Concord Ca.
(Searching for that company in Concord does not come up with anything.)
When I said I was on the DNC list, and was renting - she apologized for the call and said I would be removed.
Lets see if that happens! (if so it will be one of the rare robocallers that actually complies)
If they call back again, I will update my post (and then block the number).
Called at noon today. Number has called in the past but no info found on the net. Never leaves a message and the nonsense 145 prefix is an obvious giveaway it's garbage. Anyone else.
