The person called twice saying he is working down the street from me and wanted to come in and give an estimate for any home improvements I have. I asked him how he got my phone number, he said that the city hall gave it to him. I called our city and reported the SCAM. The police department tried to call the number and it is not a good number.
I answered and he said, is this Mrs.____(my husband's first name!). Said he was a contractor and looking for work, did I need any work done. I told him we had our own contractor, wished him luck, he kept interrupting me, and said, "What, the Mafia?" Whatever that was about. Honestly, I think he was smashed.
