They've been calling my cellphone the past couple days. Like a few people have said before, they're calling from a volunteer group lobbying for immigration reform. They'll call you even though you're registered on the no call list because it's not a solicitation, it's an informational call. Loophole, I know, but that's how it is. The best solution I came up with was to add the number to my phone book and set the Ringer ID to silent. That way, whenever they call me it doesn't ring.
I noticed on the first page of these complaints that one of the people was a "job searcher". I am also job hunting, so maybe this number is from a scamming place that got my number from a resume I sent to an ad on craigslist or something. Wouldn't be the first scam I encountered from that site. I received this call today at 2:20 and got another call from "19111111111" at 4:58. Not sure if they are related, but since I don't often get weird, random numbers calling me, they definitely could be related. "9252010000" did not leave a message. I hope they don't call back.
I am in NJ, got a call earlier today, and ignored it. Then this time, i answered and heard some stuff in the background like at a office or something, but they didnt talk. Somebody on here said that the phone # is related to immigration reform, and that the people at the Ph# are trying to link you up with your local senator. This may be true, because i did have 2 recorded messages from my senator in the past couple days
I live in Canton Ohio. They have been calling my home phone number for the last week at least three times a day. never leaving a message.
I never answer because it caller ID tells me itis from Callifornia and i know that it is a tellemarketer or scam artist.
This number and many others have been trying to call all day long.
It is getting annoying. Time for someone to figure a way to stop their access to our numbers.
