I would think if it was Washington Mutual, they would want some money! Plus, I dont owe money to them!
They called my "Do Not Call" listed home number a couple of times in the past week. I called them back. After putting in your "16-digit card number" a few times (used 1111222233334444 as I don't have their card) and then a made-up SS# a few times, they finally connect you to a person who you can ask "What the @$%@ are you doing calling my number over and over and hanging up???" They say they're real sorry and if you will tell them your number, they'll correct the situation. I told them the number is in the DO NOT CALL database and that is how to correct this and the thousands of other people they are annoying - and the LAST thing I'll EVER do is any kind of business with Washington Mutual whatsoever!!
Consider doing this same exercise and bothering them. Too bad the panty waste FTC rarely puts a stop to people like this until they've annoyed the whole nation a few times over...
