I answered thinking it was someone else instead of immed checking number here. After a slight pause, I heard a noise then a click - they hung up. can't help but wonder if it was just checking to see if it was a real number. Called at 12:40PM Feb 19th. I have blocked the number.
The call came in on a Sunday and appeared on Caller ID as "California Call." The telemarketer's name was Mary, and she claimed they were not subject to the national do-not-call list because they were a referral company only trying to provide me with information, not sell me something. Of course then she went on to explain she wanted to set up an appointment for a solar company to come visit my home . . . and sell me a new solar power system.
Somehow my business number got on their call list. Received a call today from "Matt" at REA - Renewable Energy Association - 661.249.7063. Of course, he said nothing to buy, but it was a great opportunity to partner with a solar company to get solar panels. Wouldn't answer any specific questions as his job was only to determine if I was "eligible" to become an energy partner.
