Lady asked for me by name and said she was from "California Energy Research" - working with energy companies in my area to help homeowners. Started a scripted pitch about my electric bill.
This is just another annoying 'solar energy lead generator' like multiple others out there.
I was not able find out what solar installation company they are shilling for.
When asked, she said she was located in Sacramento.
Since the number is from my own east bay area code, it is probably spoofed. Caller ID showed CALIENERGYRES.
Asked to be put on their 'do not call list' and she said she would do that. (Time will tell!)
I get a call every morning around the same time, roughly 8:15. I've tried to answer but there is no one there. I've called the number can't reach anyone. The machine ultimately tells me the mailbox is full and dumps my call. I'm going to have to figure out how to block this number to avoid this annoyance.
