Hunt & Henriques law firm for debt collection agency. Someone stole my identity and open five differents account from Capital One Bank USA, First Premier, GEMB/Chevr On DC to SEARS/CBSD. This law firm debt collector for CitiBank (South Dakota) N.A. When I talked to this debt collector agency, they keep asked for my full social security for verification purpose which I felt really weird and uncomfortable to give our my social security number. Often most business just asked for the last four digit of your social security. I called to the Citibank, they found no account under my name or social security at their bank. I sent a letter to the law firm ask for rediscovery which based on all the charged and also the contact number which I could deal direct. They didn't reply me. I went to the Hunt& Henrique law firm, the secretary said that she can't help me. Now I recieved a letter stated that they took me to superior court as entry of default and made a court judgment. They request to pay for amount complaint $2198.28 and memorandum of costs $264. I did filed a police report. I went to the superior court and verified on the case number and it was ligit. My impression was part scam and part legal. I don't know if this law firm using legal to take advantage and harrass on average citizen often doesn't know much about legal issue unless happend to them once. I hope someone need to verify this law firm.
