Supposedly this number belongs to a soldier(Army) that lives in El Monte, CA & is in Syria right now, asking money for flight ticket to come home to the USA for Christmas, wants a M3SAT cellular phone to call & now says he detained @ Dubai Immigration, UAE for having his military gun & ammunition & diamonds his unit found?
This is called a "Money box" scam. In the old days, it was a letter, today it's by email. You are asked to help a military person move money, jewels, gold, etc. out of a foreign country. Help them & you get a 'cut'. What do you have to do? Why, quite simple- send them money. Guess what happens next? You get ripped off. In this case they prey on your charity to help out a soldier, but the idea is the same. Between now & Christmas, expect more of the same.
You do realize that none of that is real. There is NO soldier, there is NO gold, diamonds, etc. It's a scam. It's a variation of an advance fee scam. The idea is to get you to wire transfer money to a foreign country. It's all fake.
