Called yesterday & today, it's a voicemail that says it's part of a fraud department. You have to press 1 or 2 to get anywhere, and I just hung up without pressing anything.
Yes, I've been receiving these phone calls as well, but by me always having an inquiring mind, I DID press #2 and I was asked to enter in either a debt or checking account number - WHICH I SURE AS HECK DIDN'T DO. So I called back again and pressed #1 for employee and entered a bogus 6-digit employee number. At first the operator said this is "? Bank", but when I asked why I was receiving these phone calls from this number, all of a sudden they became a part of WAMU BANK. Hmmmmm. In any case I STILL didn't provide any account numbers to the operator and hung up and called CHASE BANK (who have taken over WAMU) and check my accounts for any fradulant activity - where there wasn't. Again, I thought to myself, hmmmmmmm.
