Caller refused to provide the address of his company so I invited him to end the conversation. He became argumentative, but I reiterated that he could answer my questions (information any NORMAL business would share) or he could end the conversation. He wished me a good afternoon and I echoed the sentiment....he hung up.
I received a call at my work number and he asked for me by name. I responded "this is her," and there was a silence until he asked again and I gave the same response. He would not say what the call was regarding or where he was calling from, and just kept saying "IT" and a vague statement about "updates" when I prodded him for specifics. I finally managed to get off the phone once it was clear that he was not going to give me any additional information about the purpose of the call.
Recvd call from 925-856-9858. Said he had my name for an IT contact, couldn't be further from the truth. Asked who he was, said from CTO, "not looking to take over any services." Said I'm with a community college and he could look up the IT dept phone # from the website and hung up
Called the company number and asked for a previous employers name. I said he does not work here anymore what company are you with. He said CFO advisors. I said what is the purpose of your call and he said finance information. I offered to forward him to a voicemail box for finance and he said he just wanted an email address to send this information over. I asked his name and he just hung up.
