Area code shows it's a community nearby, so I'm concerned. But it calls and calls, leaves no message. Noted its phone number, checked it out. Now ignore the ringing when I see that number on the display.
Received a call, but when I answered, there wasn't anyone on the line for over a second (often the sign of a telemarketing firm using autodialer - the system takes a second or more to connect to a telemarketer after it figures out someone picked up the phone). I hung up before anyone came on.
Also just recieved a call stating that I qualified for some vacation package to Hawaii that I entered at a restaurant this past year (never happened). They told me that someone must have entered it for me. They wanted my email so they could send me information on where to pick up my package and that I would have to attend a 90 minute seminar when I picked it up, but that the seminar was not a timeshare. They said they are a Travel Agency based out of Concord. I had no intention of giving them my email but then she asked how old I was and because I was not 35 or older I did not qualify. I needed to be between the ages of 35 and 75...but not a timeshare scam?? Hmmmm...
