Received a call from 928-202-3124 yesterday. Young male asked for donation to firefighters. He said it would be anywhere between $15 and $50. Asked if I had a credit card, then asked for the number. Red flag went up, and I refused to give it. Said they should mail material to me, and I will send a check. No further calls yet.
Caller asked for my husband, when I requested to know who was calling, politely said "thank You, we will call later" and hung up Caller ID shows 'Firefight Sp SU' Voice sounded fairly young (20's or 30's) mail, and excellent American speech.
Call came on Fri 9/19/14 stating Firefighters Support Services Inc, (928-202-3124) asking for donation. I said please send me the info and hung up. In the last 6 days, they have called me at least 26 times even after I finally put a block on the number. However, the phone still rings one time so it is very annoying. I have called them back and left a message to stop, told them I filed a report with the FCC, called my phone company and called my fire dept and found out they don't do those solicitations and this is a scam. I don't know what else to do. So far today (Thur 9/25 - 9am) no call received. Point is - don't fall for this scam - don't send money.
