Person calling a out IRS lawsuit. When I called back to ask what it was about, a guy with an Indian accent answered and he was very rude stating he was not going to explain what the call was about. Just that he was going to send a "document" to the local police department and that they would explain.
Message only. Advising that they have filed a lawsuit at the courthouse!! For details and settlement call back!! This is not a prank but is a phishing call. On call back, I am sure they will want personal information and/or a credit card!! Another version of the "we are from the IRS............"
Got 4 calls today form 929-214-1608 saying "urgent matter with IRS". Want me to call back immediately for details. I know this is bogus, cause IRS doesn't work that way. In fact a recent TV News spot reported on this exact scam.
