Received a message (foreign accent) indicating there was a warrant for my arrest. My wife called the number back. They said they were Federal Law and a Investigation Department, Officer John Matthews. When my wife told them she was reporting the number to authorities for scamming, he told her that was fine, and go ahead "Baby".

Received email stating there is a warrant for my arrest. I must contact John Matthews Law Firm immediately! Called back, msg said, busy call later. Googled the number and found this is a scam!!
Total scam. Most likely Indian or Pakistani law scammers. If there was a warrant out for your arrest you'd hear about from law enforcement sources in your own district. And why would a private attorney know anything about a warrant? Warrants are only issued by judges to duly constituted officers of the law. They are NOT issued to private attorneys.
This is just a stupid mish-mash of legal terms meant to scare people into paying them money by untraceable means.
