SCAM!! I let Logan Reed with strong Indian accent ramble on and on about critical errors found on mainframe. After a few minutes I finally told him I don't own a computer. Now all of a sudden he called wrong person. Arrrgghh!!
Caller pretends to be a Microsoft technician. Says that my computer has been sending them messages about problems. They want me to press CTRL-Windows Key-R. I think that will do something that will give them remote control of my computer. They will lock it up and then I would have to pay them (I've heard $150) to unlock it. I like to string them along to waste their time and then ask them how stupid they think I am?
Caller pretended to work for Microsoft and told me that my computer was sending out error messages and it needed to be resolved. Caller had a thick accent and was hard to understand. I told him I was not an idiot, that I was reporting him and not to call again.
Claimed they were from Microsoft, will not give you any of their information. Name, ID number. I asked them to stop calling me he said he would not. I explained that I would report them to the Atty. Gen office he hung up. Good Luck.
