Do not take any call from this number. They call you for the refund of the money you paid. But instead they will ask you to open your online banking and gonna show you a fake deposit in your bank account of the higher amount and ask you to take out that money from your bank account and send them through WU or any other method.

Thank you for that info, Mark! I have been receiving calls from the same number, 929-262-0949. Telling me I am in titled to a refund from Windows Support because I paid $175. and they have gone out of business and have refund the money. When I call it back I get a busy signal. My guess, it was a good thing. I decided to check online for any reports or comments about this number. I'm finding plenty. First off..yes. I was one of them that fell for a call a few years ago on a Windows Support Program and paid $175. for a 3 year membership. Never do that everyone!!! They claimed to work for Microsoft Windows and I believed them when they were showing me all the Error Message I was receiving. Don't believe them!! They are a scam.. (This new caller knew how much money I had paid. What does that tell you?) I let them on my pc and they locked me out of everything. I couldn't do anything with my pc. I couldn't even defrag it without them doing it for me. Then a couple of months goes by and I start having more problems and have to call them to fix it. I get told,"We can't fix it unless you purchase the next upgrade Windows Program." very hatefully!!!! I contacted Microsoft and found out they never called me or heard of me. I then called GeekSquad and they have been taking care of my pc ever since. I will keep my membership with GeekSquad and no one else. But I still get these calls from the other "support" company (Teamviewer) trying to get me to let them back on my pc..LOL! No way! They have been calling as much as 3 times a day as the end time got closer. They even tried to get my husband and daughter to let them on it when I was away. They knew better too! I figure, now, that the membership is run out they are trying to scam me in another way.
Had a message on voice mail from 9292620949 saying they were the Microsoft Refund Dept. claiming they were going out of business and to call for my refund. I did not call back and checked here instead because I had heard of this scam. Glad I did.
This is a scam. I refused to give them my bank info and they locked me out of my computer.Thanks to fell tech support I had to reboot my entire system. Don't take any calls from them
