I receive a call saying that i own money to IRS and that i had to pay as soon as possible,otherwise,I would get a warrant as soon as 10 min....but it turn out it was a scam.
I got a scam call on my cell phone stating he was with department of legal affairs and that charges were pending. The male had a thick Indian accent. He also had my email address so I'm not sure how he got that and my cell phone number. He told me i should contact my attorney and call back and speak to Ryan Coleman.
I was told all the same things and was told to call Steve Joseph. Glad I found this website! I just bought a house and I can not believe all the scams I am getting. Be cautious.

same thing - scam telling me he was from Dept. of legal affairs and there was legal action taken out in my name. if I don't call back I should get my retained attorney to call back to avoid a legal mess.
I also got an almost identical call from 929 322 2607 and the guy introduced himself as 'Officer John Macintyre' of Dept. of Legal Affairs. at the end he signed off as being with the US treasury. surely this is totally illegal? I have kept both voicemails as I want to report this to either the police or whoever it should be to investigate this. anyone know where best to report it?
