Who called from 9293827316

They called to tell me they were from Microsoft and there was a problem with my computer.  I asked  where he was calling from and he said Illinois  but it was a New York area code.  He asked me to turn on my computer so that he could ruin a diagnostic test.  I asked him his name and he said it was Chris Jones.  He had a very heavy East Indian accent.  Knowing it was a fishing scam I said my computer was broken and would not boot (fabrication) besides I have a MAC.  He said please turn it on because he could help me.  I asked him to hold.  About every 5 minutes I would ask him if he was still there and purposely kept him on the phone for about a half hour and finally told him to call back tomorrow.   I then hung up.

I got a call from this guy this morning.  Said that they found problems with my windows computer.  Asked him for his location, company name and phone number so i could have some friends call him back (just to get some info out of him)  His name was Alex (he was indian, so that was a lie).  Gave the name of the company as Windows Service Pro 24/7 IT, an said he was based in Illinois.  The in-bound call came from 602-795-8662, but the number he gave me for the call back was 929-382-7316.

In case anyone is wondering, it's a scam.  Don't let give these guys any information.  I liked what Robert did keeping him on the phone for 30 minutes. nice!

Person called saying he was supporting Windows 10 and I was actively downloading viruses.  I asked for his phone number.  He gave me
929-382-7316.  He called from 218-459-6153 and the company name shown on caller id was DATA COMM.  I hung up.
