This is a scam; not real. This has been going on for a while now. Ignore these calls; don't answer if you get another call from this number, and don't give anyone any information over the phone.
Supposedly it was the audit department of the IRS. You can not talk to anyone, just leave a message and they get back to you.
My client called me and gave me the number that was left on his message. I know it is a scam but everyone needs to know IRS doesn't not call you, they send letters. If you are threatened with incarceration, it is definitely a scam.
