Got a robo call from 929-800-2994 9298002994 today.  The first part was cut off a bit - "... to return the call. The issue at hand is extremely time sensitive. My name is officer Nathan Brooks and hotline to my division is 929 800 2994, I repeat 929 800 2994.  Now, if you don't return the call or I don't hear from your attorney either then the only thing I can do is wish you a good luck as the situation badly unfolds onto you."

Yes, "wish you a good luck" obviously someone that does not speak English.

Do google search for "extremely time sensitive my name is officer Nathan Brooks hotline" and see others that also received calls like this but with different numbers and names.

I received a robot call from officer Nathan Brooks advising that if I don't call, it will badly unfold on me. I called and was threatened with a warrant and sending someone to my home by a man with an Indian accent. I knew then it was INSANE since my taxes were paid. He claimed there was a mistake on my taxes, so more lies. This was very disturbing!! These SCAM ARTISTS NEED TO BE STOPPED

Don't engage these fools. Arguing with them will get you nowhere. As a matter of fact--you could be placed in a very dangerous situation by doing so, as this couple was:

These scammers are vindictive as hell and are stopping at NOTHING, to get their way. You have nothing to lose and everything to gain by not talking to them and reporting them to the appropriate agency:

There are numerous telephone and email scams in which individuals claim to be employees of the Treasury Department. These scammers often state that they are from the “Department of Legal Affairs,” offer grant money in exchange for you wiring a small payment, or threaten to arrest you within a short period of time unless payment is made. Do not provide personal information or payment to these individuals.  Their actions are crimes under Titles 18 and 31 of the United States Code, and the Treasury Office of Inspector General is working to stop them.

If they claim to be from Treasury, report  it to [email protected] with a description.  If it was a phone contact, include:
the exact date and time that you received the call(s)
the phone number of the caller
the geographic location and time zone where you received the call
a description of the communication.

If they claim to be from the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) or it is about taxes, report it to the Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration at:
