I got message too from 929.800.4558. I called the number back and got a voicemail then a call back from 876.287.7230. The person told me that i hadn't paid taxes for a few years and warrant for my arrest and i would need to report to my local police station and turn myself in or pay over phone using credit card. I want to report them!!!! I certainly didn't give any information.
I got the message from 933-565-3621. It said from IRS, final call that I didn't pay tax and asked me to call 929-800-4555. I called this number, a man introduced himself as Terry Anderson, ID Tag# ER 7753, told me that I owed IRS from 2008 to 2013 the amount of $3,986.03 and I was sued to the court and an arrest warrant was issued to me. He said if I want to cancel the arrest warrant, I have to pay that amount. And then he transferred me to a woman introduced herself as Monica Davey, IRS supervisor. She asked me to wire money to her. I hanged up. I knew it was a hoax. I want to report them! (Their spoken English has foreign accent. The background was noisy. The sound of the phone was not good,)
I received this VM this am from a "machine" voice, not a human being: "Hello. We have been trying to reach you. This call is official final notice from IRS (Internal Revenue Services). The reason of this call is to inform you that IRS is filing lawsuit against you. To get more information about this case file, please call immediately on our department number: 929-800-4558. I repeat: 929-800-4558. Thank you." HOW DO WE REPORT THIS HOAX?
