This is the second time I've received a call from this number. It is not DP&L. The number is some sort of spoofed series of digits since there is no 112 prefix in the 937 area code. Under "Call Type" below, why isn't there an option for Scam, Scum, or Criminal?
It's also a spoofed number as central office exchanges do not start with a 0 or 1. Do not answer callers you do not recognize. Ask yourself would a legitimate business use a fake number? Would you trust them?
In the past several days, calls from this number regularly happen at least once in the morning and once or twice in the afternoon and evening. (All are blocked by my online call-blocking service, fortunately.) Whatever the real number might be, this one looks fake, and Ohioans all over the state are getting calls from this number. There is a huge battle among the utility companies now over signing up customers, and the chances are good that Ohio-based DP&L is in the thick of things. Ignore the morons and sleep better at night.
