Got the call on my cell, answered and pressed 1 to accept, transferred to a live person with an Eastern Indian accent. Asked for credit card details, promising to raise my Visa/MC credit limits on a limited time offer. I told them I had AmEx, and they asked for the details on the account. I gave them an expired account card that I keep for such purposes. They asked me to repeat the card number and info, and I asked if they saw the card on their records, begging to raise my "over-extended" credit limit. They asked me to confirm 3 times and I repeated my request that they find me in their system. They hung up. When I called back, the phone system told me that number is incorrect or out of service. This is a common scam, and should be avoided at all costs. If I wasn't at work when the call happened, I would have enjoyed making them frustrated.
