Called my folks. Caller ID showed 0 in front of the regular phone number.
This call is trying to be made to be shown as a USA phone number, it it's really coming from over seas.
Company who "handles the vehicle" on my car. Refused to tell me the name of the company only kept repeating that they administer the warranty on my vehicle. When I asked them when did the warranty expire that they were calling about they were vague and said they were calling in order to prevent it from expiring. When I told them I was on the do not call register he said that it "didn't count" because I was already a customer of theirs - again I asked what the name of the company is so that I could confirm that I was actually a customer - he said that the company name didn't matter. I said the name of the company mattered to me but if he was so ashamed to provide the name that maybe he should consider getting a real job and stop peddling worthless warranties. Just gotta love these fools - who actually takes them up on these offers?
I do not know who this is that keeps calling, but they have done so for months and won't stop. Caller ID says Maryville, Ohio. When I answer the phone line is dead. Last call to my number was 11-17-14 12:53pm. I called it back, on 11-18-14 at 9:58AM and received a voice automated system that says, "Thank you for returning our call. If you received this call by accident please press 2, or call during normal business hours." Well, I pressed 2 numerous times and the recording just keeps replaying over and over again!
Selling worthless extended auto warranties. Refuses to provide name of company or mail information. Says they are the warranty processing company and then inquired about my vehicle - only problem is that it wasn't for a vehicle I have ever owned. I asked them for the VIN number but she said she wasn't allowed to provide that over the phone. I then suggested that maybe the company she was working for had been scammed when they bought my name because I never owned the type vehicle she said she was calling about. I told her I'd go on welfare before I worked as a scamming telemarketer - of course she hung up.
