I received a phone call from 937 5058260 and because I was curious I answered. A woman said she was from cancer society and wanted a donation for victims of cancer who had lost a limb. I asked her if this was a scam and she said "oh no." I declined to make a donation. Wonder if this is a scam.
I answered a call from this number only because it is a local number and I was expecting a call from a contractor who has a cell number that has the same area code and prefix. I knew immediately it was a crap call due to the boiler room chatter in the background. A woman said "Hello ****** (my name)." I said "who is this?" She said her name is Maryann, calling about donations for a charity I never heard of. Blocked the call while she was still talking.
Stopped calling my cell phone & is now calling my house.
No charity has been given my cell phone number......no business has my cell phone number because I won't give it out.
So this is nothing but a scam.

I think you know the answer...yes it's a SCAM. If you want to donate to a cause/charity, look around locally I'm sure you'll find one that gives most of the money to the cure and not 5-10% like the "charities" that call you on the phone.
Just received a second call from 937 5058260. The first call was supposedly from a woman from cancer society wanting money for prosthetic patients with cancer. The second call was from a gentleman wanting money for a charity that benefits children. I told him about the use of this phone number being used by scammers. He said that he would get to the bottom of this. I will never donate to anyone who is calling and asking for money.
