Me too. Thank God that we are. tech savvy enough not fall for this crap. I got a similar call last year from a different number. I Googled that number too and got the same response the calls are a scam. Thanks guys
Just receive a call first unknown then that number I need to call back with a lawyer because there send paperwork for a lawsuit which isn't true I get calls all the time now they change number so be careful
This call just came in on my phone the man did not ask to speak to anyone just stated that he needed to speak to "you" or your attorney of record today or he would proceed with the lawsuit...... This is the first I have ever heard of a lawsuit from anyone, the caller id says the call was from INVESTIGATIONS but when I google the number nothing comes up but this site.
Just received a voice mail from this number. The man, very authoritative-sounding, stated that he is Dennis Baker with Pre-Trial Intervention and that I have a pending case in his office that demands my immediate attention. He needs to speak to either me or my attorney today. If he doesn't hear from my attorney today, then he will document that I have waived my right to counsel and will submit my case.
Nice try, but I'm not buyin' whatever this Dennis Baker is selling. I am an attorney; I know my rights. In a civil case, no one has the 'right to counsel' (ever hear of a public defender doing civil work? yeah, no), so documenting that I've waived my right to counsel is just a load of BS.
If you've gotten a call from this number, this is a scam. If you call back, you will be threatened and directed to pay $xxx via a money card (pre-paid VISA card type thing) or bank transfer. Do not fall for this! Don't call these people back!
