Spoofed number to Burial Insurance scam. NOT A LEGIT COMPANY, they may provide you with the name of one or even an insurance licence...BUT IT IS NOT THEM,...scammers sometimes "piggyback" legit companies. this is one.
A week ago, I had an Unsolicited & Automated voice bot call asking if I want burial insurance (did not mention company name.)...Almost sounds like a real person. Said that an Insurance rep will be calling me soon.....They called me back with a live person. She wanted me to get my cheque book and read off the account and routing numbers...quoted me a price without telling me what the company name was. Upon being asked, she provided me with with name of a legit company and the licence of a real insurance dealer (licence not valid in my state!)...the number she was calling me from (937-552-3937) was spoofed and the call back number is not listed anywhere.
