First, any number that its prefix is: 555 shows up as CA but rest assure it's not. No threats or fits, can't hold water. I do know a little about this. Secret #1: Big Government and Big Business don’t want you to protect your privacy. They all make billions of dollars selling and stealing your information. Why would they ever want your information locked away? I too, have received calls from same number 3tx in 1/2 hour or more & no one is there. Never say a word or pick-up unless you do this; hit answer button then quickly hit end. has had some affect for about 2 wks. No matter what you do on phones this will never stop them. They are calling you because your info has been sold. Guess by who? Government. That makes me sick being a former government employee. Thank goodness I only worked on Pension Plans. Blue Collar people are having their rights taken on a daily basis. I'm now disabled & home a lot, with my prior knowledge & having more time I can research these sites. They have no idea that we know & have rights. Which are ignored. I hope I was helpful.
Said they were with technical support and we have a virus. I worked for Frontier Communications. I am very familiar with this scam. I told him so and he hung up.
If you call the number back - automated message says, business or government listing press 1, for residential listing press 2, for what city or state. Why is a us number calling canada?
I received a call from this number saying they were from Windows and believe my computer may have had some one infiltrating my windows... The man said his name was David , he instructed me through several things to prove to me that i had many infiltration that had ac cured on my computer. He then tried to get me to ok him coming in to net work the problem. I declined and he said Oh they are from Windows and just trying to help the people this happen to. I declined and hung up. I attempted to call the number back and found you could not get through. Be careful they are trying to get through to network and get in to your computer.
Caller indicated that they were from Microsoft Technical Support and that they are calling people that have computer issues. First it was a lady with an indian accent. I told her that I could not understand her. She then transferred me to her supervisor who also had an accent. I told them I needed to speak to someone without an accent. Another transfer to another gentleman named David who still had an accent. He told me that my computer was sending information that was causing issues and that I must not be tech savvy or have antivirus and he needed to assist in correcting it. If not he would revoke my Microsoft office license and cause my computer to not work. I asked if he was threatening me. He said yes. I hung up on him. They called back from 951-555-0177 a California number. Still threatening to revoke my license.
