I received a call from this number that left a voicemail with an automated message saying that it was a final notice from the IRS that was filing a lawsuit against me and told me to call them back at 202-239-8576. This was the second call I got after one the day before from a different number (932-564-3611). Just saw that the 202 number is linked to a bunch of posts of it being a scam.
Just received a call from this number. I did not answer as I didn't recognize it. They left a voicemail with an automated message claiming that the IRS was filing a lawsuit against me. The number they gave to call was 253-336-5894. I can't find any worthwhile information about this other phone number. What I am sure of is the IRS would never call to notify of a lawsuit in this manner. All kinds of mail and written notices would have been sent to me first if there were a legitimate issue. I wouldn't believe for a second this is an actual warning from the IRS. All evidence points to a scam.
