I took the liberty of finding Matt Haye's extension, 2703, or you can direct dial him at 617-746-2703. I wonder how much he would like getting unsolicited phone calls from us? I also believe the do not call list would apply to us calling him either...

Good one Mike! I'm going to start filling up his VM as he is filling up mine. This crap goes on everyday day in and day out. Being on the DNCL accomplishes nothing since the government isn't going to invest any money in getting these jerks to stop harassing us. I don't know how to stop it myself. Since they figured out how to manipulate caller ID, any means we had went out the window. I run a one man machine shop and I have to answer the phone in case its a customer but to do so means stopping a machine and wasting time. I HATE IT!

Got called from them last night, didn't answer.  I did a Gallup Poll once, what a mistake!  They sold my number and now I get all these surveys.  One, last week was a "survey" on the environment.  But guess what?  Two days later I got a call from a company selling air filters, and they told me I had expressed interest with whoever I spoke to two nights before.  

Lesson - report the so-called survey companies as well, they may be a ruse.  The FTC does not stop polling or charities, but I will complain because I can link the survey with another number for sales.

If you are called on your cell phone, the FCC (Federal Communications Commission) prohibits using automated dialers to call cell phones.  This is a different rule from the Do Not Call Rule.  It does not matter whether the company is a survey company or not.  You can make a complaint at www.fcc.gov.

The FTC's (Federal Trade Commission's) Do Not Call Rule does not cover bona fide survey companies as long as they do not try to sell you anything.  If they try to sell you something, make a complaint at www.ftc.gov.
