Over the past three weeks, I have been getting various versions of the same recorded call offering to electronically transfer $5000 in my bank account. This is now the third bank they claim to represent (US Bank, PNC Bank, and now GE Capital). Third call I received from the third different phone number today. Some show up as "No Caller ID". First one today was from MD.
I had a missed call from this number (cell phone). When I called back a recorded message "Thank you for calling VWA." They were a debt collector looking for someone named Michael. Possibly fishing
Rude caller from this number demanding monies for a car that I no longer own. The woman did not identify her nor did she speak to me in a professional manner. I am reporting this caller as harrassment.
Have been getting calls from this number for weeks. Generally don't answer calls from unknown numbers, but was sick of the daily calls so finally answered. Went through the recorded message (which said they were looking for "Steven Baxter" - not me), and when a guy finally answered, he did not identify himself or the company, simply asked for Steven Baxter. I told him "This is not his number and you people need to quit calling me." He then got incredibly RUDE (while calling ME rude!), claimed they only got the account 3 days ago (flat out LIE, since they'd been calling me for at least 3 weeks), wouldn't let me get more than 3 words out of my mouth, and then hung up on me. Before he hung up, he claimed "The record's been updated now". If they call again, I am contacting the BBB.
