he called yesterday at work while I was really busy. Heavy acccent. asked for someone that does not work here. I hung up on him. He called right back and I let it go to voicemail. He called this morning and I told him that no one worked here by that name and to stop calling. Annoying.
Man with accent requested an employee not at this location. When I asked what in reference to, he replied, "It's a business call, ma'am." Well, what else would it be? Am really tired of this line and told him that I required more information. He said something while hanging up; I couldn't decipher the first word, but the second was "you." Researching the number led to the Hospice of Southwest Florida, so the number was spoofed.
Guy with heavy accent called for one of our employees - he knew our company name. I asked for additional information - he said he was calling from UB Limited (or some such) but when I asked why the phone number said "Tidewell Hospice" he hung up. Cripes, these calls, they are taking up so much time!!!
UPDATE -- Same individual claimed to be the doctor of an HR employee who was expecting his call. Right. Where have I heard that ploy before? Sent him to a recording that stated the person he was trying to reach doesn't have a valid voicemail box on the system.
Caller asked for me by name but then the call got disconnected before I could say "This is he." Guy did have a heavy accent. Based on the above, I blocked that number from my cell phone.
