Received 2 texts, the 1st early in June same as above and one today with a more detailed body. Both directed me to apply to an application link ...tenantscreeningbackgroundcheck. Didn't think this was a scam until I googled the phone number and found similar experiences.
I'm a realtor with active listings... I got this text on 5.12.17 that reads: "Hi Daylene, Jared asked me to send you the rental application..." With a link attached. I didn't open it as I knew it was a scam...
I have a home on Airbnb for summer rentals and I received a similar text message: " Hi Jennifer, the property manager for the rental we own asked me to send you the rental application link." Link followed, but I did not open.
