This # called my place of business and hung up on my voice mail. When I researched the phone # I too found that it belonged to some dentist in Irvine, CA. Definitely a spoofed # and suspicious. Any legit sales outfit wouldn't use a spoofed # to sell their services or products!
Overly exuberant sales man called using the so very old opener " Ya know I forgot the guys name, the one guy that is head of your Ship To deptartment, what's his name".
We have no such person, nor department. When I explained this and that we use UPS, he became very very insistent in his silly questions as to how and what do we use to close our boxes etc. I understand times are tough for many, but these types of sales tactics will just not work.

Dude calls (not “the Dude” just a dude) offering to ship me a "free 120 quart cooler and free fishing rods". Of course, he just needed to verify my "personal" address first. Apparently, he was hopeful I was branchless, you know, branchless, like his inbred family tree. So, with a negative on my address he decides he wants the address of my company. Again I said “no”. I let him know I am perfectly happy with all my current vendors and will not be changing. I also told him I get unwanted calls from him about 4 times a year and I always ask them to stop calling and remove me form their call list, and they in turn, always refuse. I told dude “while I have thoroughly enjoyed our conversations”, I couldn’t talk to him any more because, quite simply, he repeatedly demonstrates the inability to follow simple directions, kinda like a child with the most distressing case of mental retardation the universe has ever known. Evidently, that really pissed 'em off ‘cause he hung up. ;-)
Just got the same type of caller. "What's his name again??" never works and NO you did NOT just talk to someone at our company. He didn't get anywhere with me. LOL
