Let it go to voice mail/screening. A recorded voice played over my outgoing message saying something about being important I call back. Then a computerized voice said "You have been kicked from this conference."
No idea what the scam is, but no reason to answer them either.
I answered without looking to see the calling number and heard the usually robodialer delay. Then a female voice with a vaguely Commonwealth accent asked, "Mr. XYZ?" using my deceased wife's name. That was solid evidence of an uninformed caller since she and I used different last names. I just said, "Wrong number," and as I was putting the phone down I heard an unconvincing, "Oh. I'm sorry."
When I looked the number up on other caller ID websites I discovered this is a credit card phishing scam. Now blocked.
