I got a call from this number, and the man on the phone said " I'm calling in regard to the online survey you filled out" I told him that I didn't recall filling out any survey, and he immediately hung up the phone.

It's a quick automated survey from verizon you get after speaking to a verizon rep. Sometimes they will call you back after the survey if you were not happy with the rep you spoke with and try to make things better. In some cases it may worth your while to answer the call as you will receive compensation if you gave a low score on automated survey.
