An audible disconnection was heard upon answering the call. Research indicates that is common with this number, which was previously used for political surveys. I think it is a robot with nothing to do, so it has taken up prank calling.
Called my mobile today at 4:01 PST, left a voicemail that was truncated - all that was recorded was "Removed and never hear from me again, press nine." I will never hear from you again by blocking your fool number.
This scammer calls numbers on the national do not call list in violation of the Telephone Consumer Protection act. They further violate the TCPA by failing to have an operator on the line when the call is answered, and still further by playing a recorded message without an operator on the line. They also fail to provide a physical address and a phone number when asked, still further violating the TCPA. Their recording states that the victim has been selected to earn thousands of dollars every week just by participating in the scammer's marketing system, with no products to sell or systems to explain. This is clearly a pyramid scheme. Do not provide this scammer with any financial information.
