Someone called left a message, said they were calling about a case# and I had 48 hours to contact them, blah, blah. Left the impression they were a legal entity. Typical debt collector tactics. Try to scare you or family members to pay on non-existent or paid debts. I even tried looked up the case# on my local courthouse web site,, the case number was bogus, nowhere near a valid case number for my county courthouse.  If you do talk to debt collects, always ask for a proof of debt...they must send you paperwork documenting the debt details. ( out of 10 times that stops them cold).
