My wife and I attempted to buy a dog on Craigslist. Once we made the decision to buy the dog, the "seller" told us that she had already sent the dogs to an animal courrier and that we needed to send them the payment for transportation immediately. After attempting to call her and the courrier with the numbers that she provided us and getting no answer on either number, we decided that it was a scam. My wife began getting text messages from 949-415-6748, adressing her as "Client 0125" and telling her that they needed the money and that they could not cancel anything. She received four text messages from that number, despite responding and saying that we would not send any money and all of them demanded that she send payment for the dog.
