Called my DNC registered landline using a V formatted number. Asked for me by my first name. Las Vegas VIP something or other. Told her I'm not the person she's asking for. She apologized and hung up. Maybe I screwed up their records and they won't call again. I won't hold my breath.
Him: "Hello. Caesar's Palace calling. How are you this evening?"
Me: "I'm not interested. Take my phone number off your list."
Him: "Well, I'm not gonna do that."
Then he hung up. What's particularly annoying is the spoofed phone number with the same area code. I answered because I thought it might be a local friend. So once they have your phone number, the spoofed number from which they call will have YOUR area code. And spoofed numbers makes a report like this virtually useless.
I only answered because I'd been making business calls into California in recent days and thought it was someone else. I'm sure they're using technology to highlight what area codes to call me from. If next week I start calling numbers in Ohio, I'll start getting these calls from Ohio area codes. Another number added to my rejected number list.
