Veritax is one of multiple legitimate companies that provide employment verification and other services for their clients, usually in regard to a loan request for a mortgage. Ask them to send the verification request in writing and they will also send the authorization from the employee they are calling about, which gives Veritax permission to ask for the information.
Veritax (caller id). Supposedly needs a voice verification of employment for one of the employees of the company, yet there is only one employee in this office. Voice verification? Why? True employment verifications are written. Their website says they do employment verification for loans (nobody here requested a loan). Yet another harassing call...shady and suspect to say the least.
Rude lady asking for someone that does not work at this location. When I asked what it was regarding she would not say. Why bother calling? She did not get transferred.
Same here. Any requests here must be faxed or e-mailed on the requester's 'letterhead' with a valid address and phone number, and REASON for the inquiry. NO OTHER TYPE OF REQUEST WILL BE GRANTED. Never give out information over the telephone. Unless of course someone mentions that someone will be calling because they are buying a car or something.
