Sounds like a extortion scam operation on debt collection trying to scare you into paying money. Red flags, green dot or similar card that is untraceable, high debt owed, but cutting you a deal on that amount. That wishing you good luck also is a nice red flag, have seen it also in many threads.. Another red flag is threats to have you arrested, or threats on SS number..

This is a scam. This number called my phone and my work place 10 times in just under 15 minutes. It was a very heavily accented man claiming his name is Jason Brown (really!!) and that I or my attorney needed to return the call for a time sensitive matter. If he didn't get a return call all he could do was "wish me a good luck and the situation unfolded around me". I've been getting these calls for several years from numerous different numbers and have yet to figure out who they are or what they want.

did the same to me ..called my cell # today 15 times and was talking and I understood nothing he said , but pretty much same thing , legal matter , what legal matter would I have been notified .This is not the 1st time they have called last time was about 4 months now calling again ..Wouldn't u think I'd be in jail by now
I also have been getting these calls at my place of employment. His name is Jason Brown or Nick Anderson or Winn Shepherd depending on which way the wind is blowing. He has called me "stupid lady" because I asked his company name and call back number and he would not give it so I told him he was a fraud and a scammer and to kiss my a**. He then called me stupid lady but still won't give any information.. demands to speak to my "meanager" (spelled the way he pronounces it.
