Received call on our organization's main number wanting to speak with the person who handles our AT & T account. I happened to be covering the reception desk at the time and told "Rose" I was responsible. She wanted my name, so I gave her my first name only, Kathy. She then stated that she represented AT & T and that we could start receiving a discount on our bill cause we're paying full price for our lines of 20 or less (we recently converted most of our lines to VOIP). Told her we weren't paying full price and she said "yes you are" and I said "no we're not". Then she asked for the former president/CEO by name and I told her he was no longer with the company. She hung up!
A woman called from this number claiming to be calling from Verizon to save me money on long distance. She sounded uneducated and I suspected it was a scam. I called back to the number and got a recording that the call could not be completed as dialed.
Some dude called looking to speak with the person handling our telephone account. I asked whats' it in reference too and he said it was a courtesy call from Verizon to talk about the "rates and reductions".
I put him on hold and he hung-up within five seconds after being placed there.
Got a call about changing our AT&T Business Line long distance account rates...started naming off the wall plans that I don't have. When I told him this he hung up.
Got a call from 949-930-2279 and person wanted to discuss a payment coming up on the 18th.
I asked for his name and he said Dillon. I then asked him who the payment was for. He hun up. Return call said it was not a working number
I hate these people. I really wish they would not call and waist my time. My boss does not care to take calls from them and they can't seem to get it through their heads. They are rude and won't stop talking . A T & T long distance go away!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
