Scammer wanted to give me a refund .. (YEAH right!!) He asked a few questions then put me (supposedly) on to another individual - He told me he was a supervisor (I know it was the same guy) he gave me some stupid code for my computer (I didn't bite on that one) I told him he was in a "FRAUD CENTRE" and not ANTI-FRAUD CENTRE - I wasn't cooperating with his scamming wishes - I think I pissed him off - so he said I would make me pay a penalty fee - I said "NOW, HOW ARE YOU GOING TO DO THAT?) He rambled on with more [***] so..I hung up
Yes...don't believe him/her - Scammers are huge in numbers - I have 28 scammer phone numbers listed (some, I have blocked) and some keep calling as much as 10 times in a month - I think some of the scammers are hooked up to an automatic calling machine with a recording to call a certain number - Don't bite on that one 1-900 numbers can be costly
Obviously a spoofed number from India, not California. Still running the old "We're from Windoze" scam? Isn't Microsoft in Washington State not California? But with a twist they actually admit they are from a fraud centre now. My Aunty's Fraud Center in New Delhi.
